Well it is official, Jack is potty trained. I have been skeptical on posting thinking we would have a relapse, however Jack is doing GREAT! We are out of our training pants and into big boy underwear and let me tell you Jack is loving it! He especially loves the "big trucks" and "cookie" undies. Jack is OBSESSED with big trucks and cookies and we now even call Aunt Jujee..Cookie. Jack is very excited for Easter because he believes the Easter Bunny will be bringing him lots of candy and cookies!!! Last night I took Luke and Jack to see the Easter Bunny and then playtime at McDonald's!

Jack,

Two years ago today we flew home from Guatemala and you became a US citizen. We flew into Dallas and you did amazing on the trip, you slept the whole time. You were all smiles once we landed and on our trip from Dallas to Chicago you slept some more. Meema, Aunt Jane & Uncle Ice met us at the airport and when we got home they decorated the outside of our house to welcome you home. You loved your car seat and were so interested in your new surroundings. Grandpa came to the house to meet you and your first night in your new home you were in love! We love more than words can say!

Two years ago today we went to the Embassy to complete our adoption. Daddy & I were nervous, but you were happy as could be. We were up early and the 1st stop was to have your passport photo taken and you would NOT smile, you kept looking at everyone like they were crazy. Then to the embassy and we waited, we were with another family and in a few short hours we were pack at the Marriott and went swimming to celebrate! We had dinner with the King family, Cameron and you were so excited that you slept! The next day we got to pick up your passport and one more day and then we got to fly home for good! What an amazing time in our life and we are so blessed to have you in our family! We love you!!

Everyday Jack tells me that "Andy no more basketball, time for BASEBALL!!" Jack has been practicing his sliding for weeks. He runs really fast then falls on his knees and then falls forward and says "safe". Jack is just talking up a storm, putting sentences together, it is truly amazing! We continue to do very very well with potty training, we are hardly having accidents and when we are out and about Jack has no problems going potty! Jack we are so proud of you!!

Jack got to play with his "brothers" over the weekend and needless to say they had a blast! It is truly amazing how these 3 boys, about a year apart, can play and get along so well! We even ventured out to "Chuck E Cheese" for some fun....what were Dan and I thinking??? Seriously it was great and the boys had so much fun and that is all that matters!

Guess who was accident free today at school.....that's right, great job Jack! When we put Jack's big boy underwear on this morning, he was very excited because there were baseballs on it, so Mommy told him if no accidents then he could wear them all day, who knows if that is the reason or not but Mommy is going to wash those undies and try again tomorrow! Jack, we are so PROUD of you!!!!

It's Potty Time

Jack got to choose his candy, after an hour in the store, we decided on these two!

Over the weekend we officially started the potty training! Jack is now wearing his "big boy" underwear and is very proud of himself! It is funny, every time he is on the potty he thinks he has to go #2, we are working on that! Jack is only wearing a diaper at nap time and night time and has only had a few accidents each day. Every day Jack is improving with less accidents, and I suppose a little bribing never hurt anyone, especially when candy is involved! Jack, we are very proud of you, keep up the great job!

Pajama Day

Yesterday and today were pajama day at school. Jack was not into wearing his pj's to school at all but then I told him everyone including his teachers Ms. Tricia & Ms. Joan would be in their pj's too; he decided that it was OK to wear his pj's! Jack you are definitely a child that likes routine! Today when Jack walked in wearing his jammies with his name on it, all the teachers were commenting how handsome he looked and he just strutted on by to see his friends! Jack you are a crack up!

2.5 years old

Today you are 2 1/2" years old, where does the time go?? It seems just like yesterday Mommy and Daddy were in Guatemala to bring you home! We are so blessed that God chose us to be your Mommy and Daddy! We love you!!

This week at school for Jack is "crazy" week, yesterday was wear a crazy hat day. He picked Daddy's hat. Jack was having a great time with the hat. Today is silly sock day and he has to wear mismatched socks. This did not go over very well with Jack, he didn't like the fact that is socks did not match. I will have to remind him of this when he is older because I am sure he won't be dressing the way his mother would like him too! Have a crazy week everyone!!

Jack had so much fun watching his cousin Andy play in a basketball tourney this weekend! Jack can't wait to start playing b-ball himself! He loves to run and run and run! Andy you played awesome and congrats on winning 2nd place!!
